potter's tool belt

Stephanie...

I was conjuring a weight lifter's belt. I think it would produce a stagger
instead of a swagger.

The customization of belts... the possibilities are endless....

Thanks for the chuckle,

I like your idea of customizing tool belts

I discovered tool belts while working on a building renovation project
The kind of tool belt you get at the hardware or farm and ranch
supply. Got a nice brown one, with some split leather accents.

It is very handy for carrying tape measure, mallet, paddles, hand tools,
small sketch or notepad, even a Spanish/English dictionary, granola bar
and water bottle.
Oh heck, throw in a branding iron , microwave or jack hammer for effect
and don't forget a place for the china paints and/or cosmetics.

However, the REAL reason tool belts are great is the way it makes you
feel. Yup, yah walk different when ya gawt yer tool belt on. I highly
recommend it for women as well as men. When donning the belt I develop
a swish and a swagger. It is kind of like wearing an industrial
strength hula skirt. I'm tellin you , It makes you feel sexy in kind
of a Xena Warrior princess way. Or maybe it is a Xena/Mae West/Clark
Gable/Conan/Carmen Miranda kind of a way. Oops , OK , that sounds
weird.

People either seem shocked or very interested when they see a gal in a
tool belt. Some will register fear, others curiosity. Some will give
you respect, others will just give you their phone numbers. Men AND
women will give you their phone numbers....

Need a little lift, a little confidence ? Put on the tool belt. Need to
make an entrance? Put on the tool belt.
Works like a charm with or without the work boots or hard-hat. Actually
works without the tools, though you do need to put something in there
for ballast to achieve the above described effect.

There are several styles of toolbelts available at any Lowes or Home Depot.

Stephanie:
Your note on the further uses of the tool belt is inspiring and I've decided
to test it out.

I never enjoy the dress up type function to which I am going tonight. I
will wear my tool belt. Any suggestions on the style of dress for the best
impact?

My dear Ann,
You miss the point, I think.
It is the tool belt
for the real test --forget the dress
nils
