crawling glazes on vitrified tile

Hello Clay Folk,
I am experimenting with some tiles for an abstract mural that I have
painted in mason stains and fired to ^6 (using Tucker's mid smooth white
clay). I'm not thrilled with the way the stains came out, so I was
thinking of putting the Kemp crawling glaze on them and refiring to ^6.
Will this work? I have a basic grasp of why glazes crawl and how to
make them do it intentionally, but I wonder if having already fired the
tiles to maturity will make it hard for the glaze to stick to them.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Diane in CT, eagerly awaiting the opening of the Guilford handcrafts
expo tomorrow so i can do some Christmas shopping!
