>Vince,
Being at Appalachian Center last year reminded me of my youth and grad
school in Carbondale Illinois. SIU.1970 The heat and humidity,
woodlands, rains etc. Beautiful environment.
I lived in a basement apartment for a year with a coal furnace next
door. The mildew and mold was so bad that in the Spring I found my nice
hand made sandals covered with a green mold. Yuk!
and I think I still (30 years later) may have some mildew spore around
on my old particle board bats. It is dry in Montana but we have had 56%
humidity lately and it is hard to move in that humidity!!!! -when you're
use to 20% and very little mold.
I am enjoying the moisture. We're only an inch or two below normal now
but I ate some home grown tomatoes, cucumbers amd lettuce just hours
ago.(Gazpacho garden rules!!)
Best wishes and I made killer broccali saldad to photograph for Lisa's cookbook.
Ciao,
Marcia
