Hi,

I am sure that the remarks about the mold being a potential hazard was me=
ant
with good intent. Fear being invoked is easy bred where we only have less=
to
go on than the statement of potential dangers.
The fact verses fiction and all the in-between remedies for discovery are=
hard
to understand and follow without microscopic examination. =

I would assume for myself only that logic and talking to people like Dr.
Basterache and the countless years of my own research have provided enoug=
h
info to satisfy my personal needs.

I did ponder the best method which molds could be activated in my clay fo=
r my
own use and have tried many methods that pass muster but thought it best =
to
ask others who might have some better example of rapid growth so I could =
keep
a steady supply on hand.

I personally understand what it feels like to get caught in the line of f=
ire
but our clayarter bud's are very intelligent and most have a great sense =
of
humor. I am sure more than just myself garnered some education from the
information on the toombs and legal ramifications that was included in th=
e
earlier statements. Please continue to keep me on my toes and advise me w=
hen
you find information that you feel is important. I do read most all the m=
ail.
Lets just short circuit the alarm buttons unless the advice is based on k=
nown
parameters of the current discussion by providing the person, place or th=
ing
that supports such news. It is sometimes easy to be misunderstood on thes=
e
contraptions. I did put some sugar on my batch tonight and will start pug=
ging
it when it reaches a level od dryness desired. I will then let it age and=
hit
it again with the pug mill latter before I throw. Like I said many times
before, I know mold can cause some allergic reaction in some people and I=

limit my moldy clay use to me and one or two more and we clean the center=
with
bleach at least 2x's per week. Wipe down the whole place once every month=
or
so and clean all the equipment as well. The moldy clay stays locked up in=
a
room which is cleaned less but still clean and no one but me and Veronika=
have
keys to that room. However I can't say the same for our large scrap bucke=
ts
that everyone uses. No problems reported to date!
