Here's the way I determine the amount of glaze materials for a 4 gallon
bucket: Beginning with the "100 gm recipe, multiply each value by 3
oz. Doing this yields a total weight of 300 oz or 18.75 lb. (The standard
approach of using 10,000 gm. yields 22 lb. of dry material.)
Example: Shaners Clear:
Flint 31.9
Custer Feldspar 31.9
Whiting 16.8
EPK 14.1
Dolomite 5.3
add Bentonite 2%
Material for a 4 gal. bucket would be:
Flint: 95.7 oz = 6 lb
Custer Feldspar: 95.7 oz = 6lb.
Whiting: 50.4oz = 3lb 2oz
EPK: 42.3oz = 2lb 10oz
Dolomite: 15.9 oz
add Bentonite 6 oz

dear friends.my keyboard does not work well. I use the virtual keyboard
of my email
program so I will write shortly. my translator,BABYLON,is a multi
functional tool can be useful to the English speaking person too,
among it's functions are; changing weight measurement and currency:You
write 6.8654kg and translate it to pounds. or (how much Jordanian
Dinar
would cost you the book you ordered in Honduras) And much more. You can
download
dictionaries for different languages and glossaries too. Also translates
from"Computerish to English. i Learned through the minerals glossary to
pronounce correctly "Ulexite" as it has a tool that 'speaks'
,when it does not have he answer it takes you to a site with an answer
or farther
to a search engine. i downloaded their glossary of art galleries in
South
California, when you click on a name of a gallery, you learn who runs it
what is the correct exhibition, artist etc it cost 20 $ a year.Good for
you and perhaps this is the way i would like you to think abut our
local manufactures&county.
