Ah, yes! "Frits", pronounced Freets! (with the exclaimation point
because we are very enthusiastic about them. Anyone visiting me will
receive a "cornet" from the best "frite cot" in Brussels (according to
the authors of the Belgo Cookbook), "Chez Martin" which is a tiny
trailer next to my neighborood church. One can worship at both altars.
;-) Martin is an "Artiste". Traditionally "Frits" are eaten with
Mayonaise (also handy for removing water marks from tables) although any
"Frite cot" worthy of the name will have no less than 10 choises of
sauces.

This is also the country where you can get a degree in Chocolate.
