Hi all,
I'd like to test Lana Wilson's Red Moss glaze which calls for P-25. I
guess this is no longer available and the substitution charts list Ferro
3819, which I can find either. I've been told that Ferro 3269 would
probably work fine. Has anyone tried 3269 in this glaze?
thanks in advance,

havent tried the ferro, but i expect it to work, 3269 is chemically almost
exact, and unlike gerstley borate substitution, your trying to sub a frit
for a frit, so you should have few viscosity issues. also hommel 25 is
comparable. My substitution chart lists 3269 and makes no maention of
3819. I'm sure you'll do well with it. Have you called pemco?

Could you share "Lana Wilson's Red Moss glaze"? Knowing the components may

Brad, thanks!
I forgot to mention this in my results post, my computer is a dinosaur so I
couldn't bring up the catalog from Minnisota Clay.
