ATTENTION to everyone attending the workshop in Sugar Land in August!
The plan for the hours of the HANDS-ON EXTRUDER workshop are 10-4 each day.
That time is both for the Thursday-Friday, Aug 23 & 24 workshop & the
Saturday-Sunday 25 & 26 workshop. That could change, we will aim for those
hours.
If you have not sent in your registration payment, please mail ASAP. The
address at POTTER's PLACE is 3528 HWY 6 South, Sugar Land, TX 77478. We
have a waiting list for the weekend workshop & we want everyone to attend
that is interested. There are a few more spaces for the Thursday - Friday
workshop. If you want directions or know someone interested in the week-day
workshop, please call Potter's Place at 281-313-3223.
This should be great fun. Bring your tools & if you wish, your clay. We
will work primarily with C6 clay bodies. You can purchase equipment & tools &
clay at POTTER'S PLACE. You DO NOT have to have an extruder to participate
or learn from David Hendley's presentation. David is a fabulous potter & a
neat person. He is a great deal of fun & seems to really enjoy his work, so
come & have a good time. We plan on providing a light lunch. There are
reasonable hotels & eating places in the immediate area. Call Karen Cruce at

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at the workshop. This will
be an extruder workshop, but we will veer off all directions. I will
be throwing, decorating pots, and making tools.
I'll be bringing along my circa 1975 homemade extruder that I still
use every week, and my assortment of homemade dies.
If you have any tools you've made, bring them along for show-and-
tell. If you have a new tool I've never seen before, you will be
awarded a great prize!
You will also learn about glaze calculation.Guaranteed, in one hour,
even if you are a glaze beginner.
I will also be telling stories about life in Maydelle, wood firing,
and Mel (I've spent the night with him. More than once.)
