Question was asked about the difference in price between on and off-peak
charges in US and Canada: Here in Arizona the summer off peak cost is 4.345
per kWh. The on-peak cost is 13.484 per kwh, according to info the power
company gave me. For me that's quite a savings if I fire at night.

yes,but you will have to add in the transmission cost and all the =
otherr pennies that they puty on the bill. i also use time of day =
and the difference is considerable in thekwh price, but after i add =
all the rest the savings is only about 25-35 bucks per month. my =
electric company c harges peak .05257 per kwh, and off peak is =
00136 per kwh. now with a quick look this seems great but upon =
closer inspection the charges then add up. on the total use of =
kwh that is peak and off peak they add: first off stranded cost =
is added, then a conservation charge, then system benefits =
charge, then a consumption charge, then transimission charge then =
a transition service (??)charge. this month the actual dollar =
difference between peak and off-peak was only 24 bucks. so be =
careful and look closely at your electric bill!!
