Subject: What IS an artist?
=20
This question seems to be receeding on our list. Probably a good thing, =
too. The majority of the discussion, in my opinion, seem to be saying: =
=20
=20
If I think I am an artist, I am
or, If I am not sure that i am, am I?
=20
To ensure affirmation for both I propose an all purpose, all inclusive, =
all enabling solution:
If a second party says, in the presence of witnesses, that YOU are an =
Artist, you are.
=20
Hope this helps. Now to a closely related secondary topic, =
professional(ism). This term is less clear
--at least to me. It seems to have something to do with the division of =
labor and status therein. For instance, a=20
top notch mechanic is a "craftsman" and an expert farmer is a "full =
time" farmer, but accountants, lawyers, doctors and=20
whores are professionals.=20
=20
Go Figure. And it gets deeper. An acquaintance of mine in San Francisco =
labels herself as a professional sex worker, her landlord says she is a =
prostitute and her customers say she is REALLY an artist.
=20
See? Right back to where we started! Artists, Professionals -- It is =
going to take a scientist from the Bush Genome Theology School to find a =
consensus on this one.=20

I think we must thank Hani, as for hers, or what looked to her as a simple
question we opened this big thread, as for me, Frankly, Frank Loid Right, (I
hope well spelled), the way mel described, was the most me. I wonder the
last days, with the shapes of my extruder dyes in my head.Only after I will
do some work as wondering in my head(useing the extruder, I will go to
another idea, and there will be another thing filing my head, day time and
dreams night time.
About compromising, yes there are.
