resend of post: "people in ceramics - july 2001 urls"

updated fri 17 aug 01

Helen Bates on thu 16 aug 01

Dear Clayarters,

My apologies to all who have tried to click on the links I sent
regarding "People in Ceramics - July 2001 URLS".

For some reason the post went out with the characters "=20" at the end
of each line, including the urls. This made the urls unuseable,
because of the extra characters.

I've copied the post to a new e-mail document and deleted the unwanted
characters (I hope). Please try again.

Or, if you click on a url and get the error number, just highlight and
delete the "=20" and press "Enter" again and you should be on your way
to the site you want.

Sorry, and have fun!

Helen

Beverley Toyu
http://www.pcez.com/~den/toyu/toyu.htm
Beverley has been making Life Masks since 1975.
What I am intrigued by is the quiet mood that is achieved with the
closed eyes of the model, necessitated by the technique used in making
the masks .

Three Clayarters worth a visit...

Fran=E7oise Melville - http://indalopottery.tripod.com
Clayart member with interesting web pages;
There's cute movie of mudwoman forming on wheel in a dance of joy and
dissolution;
Another movie requires Quicktime (and a system big enough to run it
after you install it!)
Raku kaleidoscopes very good designs
Directions for making "holey" raku bowls
Some of the pages have pleasant midi music, with proper left hand, not
that awful jangled accompaniment that I sometimes have to endure until
I can turn it off.

Coffee, D. Michael - http://www.dmcarts.com
Another Clayarter with many "one of a kind" pots strongly
reduction-fired at cone 10.
I like the forms he comes up with and I like the colours and textures
he achieves, and also how his colour,
texture, marks and forms work together.

Gayle Bair - http://claybair.com
Yet another clayarter...
I particularly enjoy her decorated bowls and tumblers.

Rodney Lemonier - Good Earth Pottery

Succulent is the word that comes to mind with this pottery.

earthenware, but in softer hues.
(Found when web-surfing to the City of Winter Park Sidewalk Art
Festival, Florida.)
