Dear John Jensen,
Trying to define art is a bit like talking about beer. No such thing as =
a bad beer. Its just that some is warmer. Now I hate chilled beer, but a =
lot of people like it. I say cooling it robs it of its aroma. Anyway, if =
there was such a thing as bad beer it wouldn't be beer, it would be malt =
vinegar. So perhaps classing some art as terrible is a case of sour =
grapes.
The trick about talking or thinking about art and craft is to interject =
design and conclude with evaluation and judgement, then treat them all =
as a cycle of human behaviour.
