My husband and I will be in Wisconsin in the next few weeks. Can you
recommend galleries/studios in the western Wisconsin area? Thanks so much.
Feel free to respond directly to me at ngrenard@purdue.edu

Mineral Point is a must see, some beautiful stone buildings and a couple =
of very good potters, whose names escape me at the moment, one instructs =
at U of W in Madison. Then there is the Mustard Museum in Mt. Horab. =
Also a few potters there I believe.
Enjoy the green rolling hills being munched by "Gateway" Holsteins.

Nancy, there are so many great places to visit in Wisconsin - here a few of
my favorites:
Taft's Mill Pottery - Bloomington
Country Clay - Cuba City
Mulberry Pottery - Mineral Point
Story Pottery - Mineral Point
There's also a terrific gallery in Paoli (can't seem to remember the name of
it, but, the "town" is so small that if you've missed the gallery, you've
missed Paoli!). It's housed in an old creamery, and is just to the east of
the cheese shop and ice cream parlor on the "main drag"(G). Also, as Craig
noted, Mt. Horeb is a great place to stop as well.
Have fun!

I realize that Appleton is not in western Wisconsin, but if you are near
there, visit Fired Earth Pottery, 217 E. Pacific Street, Appleton. Rick
McKinney is the potter. 920 830 6860.
