I saw that someone had offered some glaze recipes to create glazes similar
to Bro. Thomas', but there was no guess to the Armenian Bole Glaze, which I
love. Can anyone help me with that one?
Thanks, Holly

The internet positively has it's good moments. While I didn't get any
results for the search on Armenian Bole Glaze, I did learn what Armenian
Bole is...

http://palimpsest.stanford.edu/don/dt/dt0148.html

A friable, earthy clay, usually of a red color due to the presence of iron
oxide; it consists essentially of hydrous silicates of aluminum and
(sometimes) magnesium. It is used as a coloring material and is also
applied to the edges of books during gilding. In the latter use it serves
both to provide a base for the gold leaf and to impart to it a greater
depth and luster. When mixed with paste and a small amount of oil, it may
be used to sprinkle the edges of books.

Other searches reveal it has been used as an underglaze colorant in
ceramics.
