Whew. I just spent the past two days creating a database in Access for =
my glaze recipes. Since I didn't know Access very well, I had to learn =
quickly how to create forms, and reports. It works pretty good and I =
have a digital photo of each recipe result on the same page as the =
recipe. Now I wish I knew how to make a command button that would let =
me press a letter of the alphabet and have it jump to the first record =
of that letter and display it in form view. Any Access programmers out =
there?=20
I tried the Red Gold glaze in my last firing, and really like it. It's =
nice. Kind of a medium dark, streaking brown which reddish highlights =
and some very tiny streaking gold micro-crystals. If anyone wants the =
recipe, email me off-list and I'll forward it.
Off topic: Does anyone know why Outlook Express would suddenly take to =
continually dialing up and connecting when I am just trying to read =
messages offline? This only happens after I have pressed the send and =
receive to get mail, and then disconnected, leaving Outlook Express =
running. If I just start up Outlook Express without trying to =
send/receive I can happily work offline.
I will have more glaze results to report about in a couple of weeks. =
I've finally got enough candle holders done, although about 40 of them =
are just waiting to dry enough to be bisqued. =20

Marianne;
Why don't you build yourself an index with a recipe number. Then build a
query that will search for your recipe.

Maryann was wondering about Outlook dialing by itself...
Hi Maryann,
I was troubled by the same feature.
Select "Options" from the Tools menu and click on "Mail Delivery" tab.
Deselect the following options:
- "check for new messages every ## minutes" in Account Options
- "automatically dial when checking for new messages" in Dial-Up Options
