To all those dissatisfied with AOL and without
access to DSL or Cable

Why not try Worldnet by AT&T?

Think twice about this, Clayarters with Macs. I went
through the ordeal of installing Worldnet on my Mac.
To my disgust it trashed my pre-existing Internet
Explorer 5, replacing it with an earlier version so I
lost all my bookmarks (thank heavens for backups).
Never connected, either. Took me half a morning to
undo the mess. A _polite_ complaint to tech support
was never answered. Caveat Emptor!

Ned - soon to quit spam-riddled, Brobdingnagian and
incontinent AOL after six years, as soon as I find a
rocksteady reliable Mac friendly ISP with tech support
NOT based in Virtual Reality. Must have at least two
email addresses, 5 megs webspace per, $20 per month
max. AND an effective anti spam policy.

The best internet connection my family has found - and we've tried several -
in 'RoadRunner' the cable modem service offered by our local cable company.
It's expensive, about $40 a month. We broke even on the price, because we
had a second phone line dedicated to the modem. My husband is a computer
professional, and my son, daughter and I are constantly on-line. We have 3
computers hooked up to our cable modem, and we can all use the internet
simultaneously without tying up the phone. I can leave my computer on-line
all day and stop by real quick when I have spare minute.

And it is soooo fast!
