Dear Merrie:
How appropriate to play Pink Floyd's "The Wall" when you got a kiln that
won't move. I like to sit in the lawn chair sip a wine, read a book and
feed the bourry box of the kiln every 5 minutes or so and we play "Up Where
We Belong" by Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warren.
All kinding aside I like the early morning part of our firing just before
day break, absolute silence except perhaps the hoot of an owl, perhaps the
scream of a rabbit found by Mr. Owl.
The bourry box is a layed back way to fire a kiln. Great for seniors. I'd
build one for Liz or Ron. If it is well designed it will fire up where it
belongs. No power assist needed or wanted.
I recommend that you buy the Wall by Luther Wright and the Wrongs. they
where given permission to do that classic album in their country and western
style. fiddles, banjos, yodelling- great version of that classic
Teachers leave those kids alone
We don't need no education
all those great lyrics.
cheers,
Tony
It's Saturday and I have to vacuum. I'll try the music.

Hi Tony,
It is pouring down rain, 10 potters from New Orleans are here to fire the
wood kiln, "Mother".......should be a great firing....adding some water : )
I was firing the evening of Dec. 31, 1999......heard the first bird sing on
the morning of Jan, 1, 2000.....a sound I'll never forget !
Cheers to you !
