This is one of several reasons for buying and using
chargers, place mats, runners or (shock, horror) table
cloths on polished wooden tables... Has been the
solution for hundreds of years, so why try to reinvent
table culture now?

glazed with the exception of the very bottom rim, the
section that rests on the table. We now find that after
taking them out of the dishwasher, the exposed pottery
on this bottom rim has absorbed some water and it will
slowly seep out. Is there some sort of sealer or other
product I could buy to apply to the exposed surface
that would seal out water and be dishwashe safe as
well.
