Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) has a new series of programs on the=20=

subject of Art in the 21st Century. If you are interested in this topic=
,=20
you might view their WWW site at http://www.pbs.org/art21/ These 4 hour=
s=20
of programming are scheduled to be release for viewing on Friday, 9/21. =
=20
My primary local PBS station (KQED in San Francisco) has them scheduled =

to run at 10:00 =96 12:00 PM on the 21st and 28th.

I would only caution that as soon as any critic, essayist, aesthetics=20=

philosopher, pundit has defined art, it is already something else. It=20=

might make some viewers reach for a red stripe.

doesn't this sound akin to quantum mechanics?

Is there anyone willing to tape this program for me? I'd wanted to use it
in my elementary school classes, but my local station, KVIE in Sacramento,
says they are not airing it (even tho the Art21 web site says they are).

I'll pay for the tapes and mailing.

Thanks,

Valice in Sacramento

It is available for purchase at shop at www.pbs.org. The series is on 2
video tapes and I think it's $29.95.

I Would like to warn you. There is kind of function in the gohip that might
stuck into your browser.
I do not if they made it or someone else. An elder friend of mine has it.
Click on gohip in search engine and you can read about. To Richard, when we
will get a normal connection I shall enter to their site, and try to clean
his computer.

Worth repeating - and by this I mean no harm to the commercial reputation of
Gohip.....

I tried to help Ababi with this a while back - did some research, can't
remember all of it. In essence, if you sign up with Gohip, follow their
instructions, and download their software, it will customise your browser -
I think to push adverts, but can't remember. What Ababi's friend found (and
a lot of others if you search the internet), is that it's a lot harder to
get this software off than it is to put on. In fairness to Gohip, they do
offer a second programme to uninstall their package - haven't tried it,
wasn't my PC, so can only assume it would work.

General tenor of comments I found on the web were complaints about how this
thing works. So - your experience might be different, and I have not used
the thing itself, but like all software you stick into your little grey box,
especially if it's free, think about the consequences and do some research
before you use.

cheers

Richard
