Cindy asked if it is for NC artists only.
And I did not include the name of the judge.

Please do not submit work to please the judge! The
judge is exceedingly experienced and will be judging
according to our criteria for the show, quality and
diversity within the medium. The show is about the
diversity of Clay Work in North Carolina, so this show
is about YOU! It was fabulous last year. And I am
certain that it will be this year as well. Our
evening gallery walk is extremely well advertised over
the eastern part of the state and many artists
participating last year had sales throughout the year
from the show.

Our gallery is a non-profit 501-c3 that is supported
in part by the North Carolina Arts Council. Because
of that and the size of our gallery, we limit the show
to NC Artists.

I hope that the show will grow in scope over the years
and that a larger show could eventually occur.

As I indicated in the original post, the deadline for
entry is mail received by October 10. Photographs are
fine. Slides are fine. Digital pictures in windows
based JPEG format are fine. Please indicate
dimensions and whether the work is functional or
non-functional. The work submitted should be in the
same series or be the work to be submitted. Work will
be received by mail or hand delivery by no later than
October 26. The prizes will be awarded in two
categories, Funtional and Non-functional. And the
judging will be done by the actual work, not the
slides.

The Judge of the show will be:

Dina Wilde-Ramsing

BA in Anthropology-UNC Chapel Hill
BF in Art-East Carolina University
Cafe Fear Community College Instructor for 15 years
Full Time Studio Potter since 1985
Showing Member since 1988 of
Piedmont Craftsmen
Carolina Designer Craftsmen

Elizabeth Priddy is curator of the show. The jury fee
is to cover mailing costs.

Participants of last year's show will need to re-jury
for this years show, as each year will have a new
judge. All interested potters and artists are
encouraged to apply. Artists will provide five works
for the show.

Only send photographic representation
as specified above, not work.
Please send submissions for jury to:
