Dear Joseph Herbert,

Thank you for that contribution. The point I intended to emphasise was =
that given a constant molecular or unity composition which was known to =
produce a typical prototype glaze, say a transparent gloss, the effects =
of heat at higher temperatures took less time than at lower temperatures =
and because of this, a higher firing temperature might give better fuel =
ecconomy.
