There is the easy way to down from high cone to ^6 by changing the
feldspar to NEPHELINE SYENITE + an add of 10% of G.B..
However you introduce here a new material that might change the
character of the glaze.
IN Matrix there is a nice aid. Does not make the job for you. What you
have to do, is to see how much alumina silica you have and reduce them
proportionably. If you had a matte glaze, you will reduce the Al2O3 :
SiO2 in a way, that you will have high alumina ^6 In my kiln- no more
than 0.5 mol and you reduce the silica to keep the relation between
them Sounds crazy? If the glaze does not craze* means you have done it
well!
