Dear Jessamyn Sommers.
I use a white plasticine for my models for sprig moulds. Never any =
problem with separation when the plaster has set dead hard, provided =
there were no undercuts on the original model. Never even thought of =
using a parting compound.
I model my originals on six inch square white glazed bathroom tiles and =
slide a palette knife between the plaster and the mould to separate the =
two parts.
