About porcelain/claybodies.
I find VC's book very helpful for different & interesting claybodies in
different cones.

There are some claybodies in Behrens's too but I did not try any, if to
judge folowing the great glazes, I tried from his book, I can redemand
these
claybodies in "covered eyes". ( How does it sound in English?)

Tom Buck had formulated for me a ^6 PORCELANEOUS BODY, according to the
materials I could buy at my supplier. The main problem was that he
(supplier) keeps only English Kaolin CC31 which is beautifully white
but not plastic.
If I understand correctly Tom has oppose the kaolin and the ball clay.
This way there was a little more shrinkage, but there was a better
plasticity.
I will write down the materials& there analysis.
Lately I started to buy EPK and Kaolin D' Arvor.that are plastic kaolin.
When I got the first 1 K"g of the French Kaolin I made a batch , using
it instead of the CC31.
The plasticity improved.
I used Tom's porcelain mainly for my Crystalline glazes. You cannot buy
here, in this lovely peacefully corner of the East Mediterranean, ^6
porcelain.
Eventually it was good because it led me to make or change claybodies
for special reasons. I cannot explain why, but the claybody I make
myself is always more expensive than the equivalent ready made.
This is the end of my long chat and now to the businessAbabi's ^6

The first line. I tried it also in regular firing, it is kind of
"princess"among the clay bodies.

In some of the letters were offered porcilains based on 4/25
25 kaolin
25 ball clay
25 feldspar
25 quarz/flint.
In ^6 it is not stong enough, for sure not plastic.

In the article of VC, there are some claybodies too
