I looked at the specs for a Soldner Studio model, and was surprised to see
that with the 1/4 horsepower motor, it could center up to something like
80lbs of clay. How is this possible when the other brands
(Brent, Pacifica, etc.) need more like 3/4 to 1HP? Will this wheel really
center this amount of clay? If not, how much?
Also, I have heard that the Soldner pedal requires continuous pressure to
keep the wheel spinning. Is this true?
