Thanks for all the responses to my question about using the glaze to bond two
pieces together. It worked perfectly for two different gloss glazes at cone
6. I am now trying a matt glaze to see what happens. I had tried this a
few years ago but I only glazed one piece as I wanted the base to be unglazed
and it did not work. Apparently, both pieces need to be glazed.
Anyway, I really appreciated all the answers! It is nice to know that there
are potters out there who care enough to take the time to answer questions in
this uncertain time.
