Marge: Sorry to be late in giving you an answer about finding beeswax. Go to a fabric store or one that sells quilting supplies. Sometimes when I sew by hand, I run the thread through the beeswax to keep it from tangling or twisting. Another source would be a beekeeper. It is a by product of the honeycombs. As kids, we loved to chew it.

Some churches burn beeswax candles and usually are willing to part with the
candle stubbs.

I just bought ten pounds on ebay for 2.75/pound. There are several
different auctions for it. Same people I think. sherry morrow

Hey Carole,
I have been following the discussion about beeswax finishes. I also do =
Naked Raku and I also polish my pieces with beeswax. Best stuff I have =
found is Lord Sheraton's Pure Beeswax Balsam (mixture of beeswax, =
turpentine, and linseed oil). I found this when living in England and I =
have an English friend who keeps me supplied. It may be available over =
the internet though I'm not sure. A very close runner-up to this is =
Howard's Feed-N-Wax. This is a combination of beeswax, carnauba wax and =
orange oil and can be found at Bed Bath and Beyond. Apply both of these =
products sparingly and use a lint free cloth or chamois to buff. Hope =
this helps you in your search!
Peace,
