Dear Vince,
I wished it was more rare, allergies to clay that is. I have a
friend who is very good at burnishing. In fact she could make my pots
look like glass. I knew she was sensitive to wet clay. but found out
after a short time that even leather hard made her swell with welts. I
tried changing clay and about every thing else, no luck. It is the mold
in clay that makes her break out. So now I am back to spending hours
burnishing my pots. I just thank God I am not allergic. And if she comes
to spend the day (as she does most regularly) She is now has the job of
glazing my pots. At my place everyone works. LOL.
