If any Clayarters are in the Seattle area this Wednesday evening, I'd like
to invite them to show opening that my wife and I are having. It's at the
Seattle Pacific University Art Center Gallery, at 3 West Cremona, on the
north side of Queen Anne Hill. It's from 6-8 pm.
There are two things special about this show for us. First, in out 30+
years together, this is only the second gallery show Ruth and I have ever
had together. And second, she's showing clay and I'm not! This will be the
first time in my life I've put a major showing of art work that had no clay
in it. I'll be showing water-soluble colored pencil drawings on paper, kind
of returning to what I was doing before I discovered clay in the mid-60's.
Ruth, however, is doing clay again for the first time since about 1975, and
has made some very powerful mummy-like paperclay figures.
So if you're in the area, pop on in. We'd love to see you. And, no, I
don't have any digital images of the drawings to show, but in a few weeks I
should have a web site up and running. I'll let you all know when that
happens.
