what a wonderful group of folks at westminster art center, denver.
we built a great kiln, talked and talked.

many great questions, and a solid interest in doing things
right. we tried to cover everything from orifice to propane,
burners to arches.

the flat top went on like a breeze...the only problem was the
typical one....a three inch slab slope. we had to do a great
many `shim jobs`. got the job done....and without question,
i had a great time.
thanks to all.

It did indeed. And then survived a night of Colorado's infamous
90 mph winds. The weather for the weekend was autumn at its
best with sun, some clouds, crisp air and no severe stuff (wind,
rain or snow). All that waited for Sunday night (if you were an
impending storm would YOU risk the Mayor's rath by impeding
the progress of a workshop?).

The Westminster Recreation Center is in a part of town more or less
on a direct path from a major mountain pass into the Rockeys and
winds funnel down Boulder Canyon and then spill out onto the plains
and just have a fine time ratteling windows and anything else that's loose
on their way to Kansas.

Nary a brick budged and the product of a great weekend with good
folks and a good teacher will serve well.
