Welcome to Clay Art, Heloisa!

Clay Art (= Ceramic Arts Discussion List) is like
walking through a small town and bumping into people
you know. Quite delightful! So glad you have moved here
too...

It is really wonderful to know that the ceramic world
is shrinking all the time and we can meet folk from all
over the world. I am sure many of us will look forward
to hearing about your studio work in Brazil, what you
teach your students, the clay you use and the work you
do yourself. Also the ceramic scene in general... How
is ceramics treated by the public, colleges, education
departments. etc? Is it in the hands of
"traditionalist" potters or more "arty"? How much is
contemporary Brazilian pottery influenced by native,
European, Asian, American work and styles? Who are the
big names in your country and others of South America?
...So many questions! I do hope you will tell us when
you have the time.

Heloisa is a Path Maker too, everyone! She helped put
Brazil on the map here in Wales!
