going out to see nils' new art department at linfield.
week of 1st of november to the 7th.
want to see craig, hank and hoskinsson...and
others as time dictates. i am looking for
gifts to be given to me...and loads of food.

it is a little known fact, but i am in charge of all
oceans and beaches in the world...i have to check
the beach along the oregon coast. have to make
sure it is working. duty, duty.

i will rent a car and sharlene will tell me what to do.
duty, duty. like, how far is it to san diego? `just drive
dorko`.

nils' email is down so don't tell him we are coming.
want it to be a surprise...of course that means dirty sheets.
oh, well.

we call this the `follow the ruth butler trail`. only ian curry
won't be there....but, hell, i have a grid. got it from a light
fixture.

so, a bunch of people who remember the `korean conflict` hangin out.
i was months from going to that hell hole...so, we have all
had our share of change. those that think the most important
thing in life is a new car and `see my portfolio` will have some
things change in their lives. we hope it does some good. there
will be some `upsides` to all of this. like we said in 1945....`let
them not die in vain`. (note, this does not have anything to do
with clay...and i don't give a shit. it is important. and, i own the big
red delete button marked `ASS`...one of the perks of moderating.)
and remember i don't get paid. this is a labor of love, and i love
doing it.

we have folks on this list that can remember the 40's, 50's, 60's,
70, 80's, 90's....and some that can remember last year. and, tom
buck was in high school in 1917. (i think) wasn't elka homecoming
queen that year.? cute girl...really cute..still is. i think she went by
`really cute, nice figure, but, smart as hell.`) all of that still applies.

well, let's end this five a.m. ramble.
see you oregon potters the first week in november.
love, mel

NO WAY!

beaches at Portland (the real one) are MINE - that's where I gets all the
best driftwood, but don't tell anyone or they will all be at it.

Mel, you can come and play on my beach, I'll even let you pick up some
stones (which is more than the local council will), but it ain't yours.....
Not so sure about the fossils and dinosaur bones poking out of the cliff
further down towards Lyme Regis - we can talk about those....

If your beaches are anything like mine, go enjoy 'em - you seem like a man
who's due that at least.
