I have been waiting to the winter winds before rakuing after my last
"high" firing.
This letter is about 3 claybodies.
First the above.
With English ball clay AK instead of OM-4 and bentonite instead of
Macaloid.
Pleasant to work.Covered with
80/20 raku glaze, the result light color.
I would like to indicate an interesting point.one of the few
balls/saucers I prepared got an S crack. I went on firing. It did not
break in the raku process that included a wet bath.

Based on, perhaps simplified, VC raku claybody. (He has some with
"strange" materials, if you happen to be in the USA, you can try his
other ones).

White claybody pleasant to work.
the EPK can be replaced by another plastic kaolin like Kaolin D' arvor
from France. This claybody reacted strange to the 80/20 raku glaze,
instead of white the result was gray.
The last one is result of my curiosity, and assisting of Chris

The analysis of the soil based on Rhodes's book. I think my soil has
more flux and less alumina.
The last time I used was not pleasant so i added 2% bentonite. result
in bisque pink.
In ^6, hardly survived.
One glaze I made, lichen glaze, was nice only on this claybody. I will
try it again with your materials and post you.
It was not a great claybody but it was good to know that not only the
suppliers raku is a raku body.
Some ideas: to use rough, basalt, or Sic or broken wares ( into grog
size)

My new glaze in a separate letter.
