Hello.. opinions, suggestions wanted!
Here is another ventilation type question...
I both live and have my studio in the same single=20
room of a loft type apartment. I have a medium kiln, which
I just recently fit with a bottom sucking vent. The problem=20
in my situation is that I have only one source of ventilation to the =
outside world - a sliding glass door - which I have the vent motor =
mounted in wood and squeezed into, thereby occupying the=20
entire air supply. I do not have another window which opens, no cross =
ventilation possible.. the only other source of fresh
air might be my air conditioner.=20
What's your guess? Am I starving my brain for oxygen when I fire my =
kiln? Will the vent do the job? How essential is fresh air =
replacement? Can my A.C. do the trick?
Is my vent system not properly working if I can smell anything at all?
I have only been bisque firing because I don't really trust
adding glaze chemistry to this situation yet.
Am I fooling myself that this has been safe even so?=20
Thanks ahead for your ideas..
cheers,
Micheyi =20
