Hello,
I'm considering buying a small kiln for home. I can't decide if I should =
go with an electric or a gas model. I've done research and understand =
that they have different capabilities, but I think I would be happy =
either way.
I couldn't find any detailed information on how much is the additional =
installation cost for the gas vs. electric kiln. I suppose that an =
electric kiln I just plug in and that's it, while a gas kiln needs the =
gas feed line and probably a chimney?
Also, I have no idea how much do these things cost to run. How much =
energy does a 7 cubic foot electric kiln use for a cone 10 firing? How =
much gas is needed for a same size gas kiln to do cone 10?
How much does it cost to fire cone 10 in a 3 cubic foot electric?
Any suggestions on brands?
