Had a kiln problem when over glazing luster. Needless to say the luster
didn't turn out; I think I had a bit of an over fire. Anyway, would there
be anything wrong with putting the luster on again and firing it right?
Right now the pieces show a pinkish color where the gold was supposed to be.

Luster needs tobe applied VERY thinly in order to
achieve the full effect.. a thick application will
result in flaking & a disinct difference in the lovely
rainbow effect.

Hi David...sent you directions for the use of luster
last year. Venting is MOST important to burn off the
oils in Luster.
If I fired without venting ...here in FLA.
my luster would be frosted..Not a pretty sight.
However, if you manage it without probs in
England...good for you...
Regards,
Miriam
