But cats stretch, great long body stretches. In fact, just about every time
they're going to do anything, or move to another place to sleep, they
stretch first. Our cat also has fits of "crazies" a couple of times a
day---spells where she races around with her tail all puffed out and a wild
look in her eyes (we think there's a boogey man in the basement that only
she can see), but it's a pretty short duration, so that's not what keeps her
in fit condition, I don't think. She's an indoor cat, so she's not sneaking
in any exercise where we can't see her, like chasing birds or mice. So,
it's got to be the stretching. I don't think we do nearly enough of it!
Think I'll trade in my skipping rope, and just stretch every time I get up
from the wheel.

a 250F oven till trimming consistency (about 45 minutes to an hour---I
didn't time it), let it cool, trim it, put the holes in, and have it on the
drying rack within 2 hours of throwing it. Gives me a whole new world of
procrastination.......... another chapter in "Dai's Book of Getting Ready
for a Show" subtitled, "Last Minute Preparedness----Not an Oxymoron"

Dai, yes. They do that wonderful stretch with the front
legs extended and dipped down while dipping the belly to
floor with a reverse arch to the spine and then stretch out
the back legs, sometimes singly while pointing them to the
back and shaking, one at a time. It's very yoga-esque. In
fact, there is a yoga pose where you are on hands and knees
and arch the back up while tucking the head down, then
reverse the arch while looking up. Other yoga people--is
that it? Try it. Prrrrrr.........and there is nothing
quite like having a cat's whiskers brush your back
ever-so-slightly while you're in a shoulder stand, or having
a cat walk by and brush your face along its body while
you're in a cobra. My two deaf cats are rather oddly vocal
at times when they want food or attention, but for some
reason quiet down when I do yoga. Maybe they understand.

Not only do they have the crazy fits, but they see spirits
in the corners of the ceilings and they speak to those
spirits with an "ow ow ow."

They also lie down in any available patch of sunlight. I've
tried it on occasion (only at home!) and I understand. :-)
