This year the tour will begin on FRIDAY, giving everyone a full three =
days
to make the rounds to all the studios. An "Invited Artist" Stacy =
Snyder
will join us for the fall and spring tour. Another addition to the event
will be wood turning demonstrations at 1:00 and 4:00 daily at the studio =
of
Brad Warstler.
This tour has something for everyone. Whether you just need a good
excuse to come explore another corner of the mountains, or you have =
always
wanted to watch wood being turned on a lathe, if you collect pottery and
would like to get to know the people who make the objects that enrich =
your
life, or maybe you just want an exciting new way to buy some unique
Christmas gifts, you won't be disappointed.!
With a detailed map, you wind your way along the scenic drives that
connect the studios.Whether riding along the Blue Ridge Parkway or =
stopping
beside the mile long stretch of the Little River, the views and vistas,
the woods and meadows are a jump above the mall on this first weekend of
the Holiday Season. And there is so much to do in the area.Excellent
restaurants and fine B&Bs can be found in both Floyd and Blacksburg. Be
sure to take enough time to visit the wineries here. The Chateau
Morrisette, in it's beautiful natural surroundings, offers 13 premier =
wines
along with exquisite dining. And the Villa Appalachia is known for it's
Italian inspired wines in a Tuscan environment.
