Hank replies from Eugene;

Thanks for the heads-up. While visiting the storage collection in
September, I looked again at several Kenzan and 'Kenzan School' pieces. My
favorite is the yellow teabowl with cranes flying off into space and a
black moon. Are all the pieces from the Smithsonian collections, or are
their guest pieces on loan? Those able to visit will be charmed.

One of the best shows in DC currently is at the Museum of Art of Latin
America, associated with the Organization of American States. Our own
Marcia Selsor has two pieces in it, and the rest of the show is of excellent
quality. There are also some fantastic installations by Peter King and
Xenia Marin in the garden area. I think it goes until the end of December.
If you are in or coming to DC, it's definitely worth a look. All clay.

The Museum is a small two story white mansion on 19th and Constitution.
