Susan,
Most of the commercially available albany slip is
actually a reformulation of the original and not from
the old mines. The old slip is actually available in
its uncleaned form but in 50# bags and pretty
expensive. I only need a little so will try to find a
partial bag before coughing up for an excessive
supply.

Susan, check your A.R.T. catalog...that's synthetic Albany Slip. An original
A.R.T. formulation.
