Hi,

I've been following the cement thread, & thought I'd add my own comments.

Has anyone considered subbing white portland cement for the regular gray portland cement. The white has a lower iron content than the gray, 0.4 percent & 2.6 percent respectively. See the following web page from the Portland Cement Association web site:

Go to page two, and look at Table 1. under chemical composition. Then read the descriptions below it.

Also, it may be possible to use the premixed tile grouts available, keeping the sand to make a textured glaze, or ball milling (DRY!) to incorporate the sand as fine silica. I wonder how the pigmented grouts would work??
