Rafael,
I built a downdraft several years ago (80's) with the floor channel =
using the example in the Rhodes book. I believe that it did help with =
pulling the flames to the front lower area of the kiln then down under =
the shelves to the flue in the rear. I thought the channel very =
effective in the firing. I have slides of the whole kiln construction. I =
can't remember where I read just this week something about a floor =
channel in another kiln. I will have to see if I can find it and let you =
know.
