patch a crack

I got this from a potter friend of mine. To patch a crack in bisque, dry a
piece of your clay body and powder it, mix it with the glaze you want to use
on the piece and fill the crack in, wait for it to dry and smooth it off, if
it needs another application to fill in the crack refill it, let it dry,
smooth out and then glaze the piece as you normally would. This works.
