Hello all,
Does anyone know of a Raku glaze called Pac-Man. It reminds me of =
gasoline floating on water on a finished piece. Is it a commercial =
glaze, or is there a recipe for it.
Thanks,

Would you settle for Post-Pac-Man? The measurements are by volume.
Gerstley borate 5
Bone ash 1
Nepheline syenite 1
Copper carbonate 1
Red iron oxide 0.125
Can't tell you what it's like as I've never used it.

It is a traditional copper matt, copper colored base with rainbow streaks if
you are lucky. The copper tone is a bit more pink then some of my other
coppers. It responds to torching(for additional color) after it is reduced.
The recipe I have is as follows
Bone Ash 100
Gerstley Borate 500
Nephaline Syenite 14
Copper carb 100
Red Iron Oxide 13

You can also find Pacman Raku glaze commercially.
clayartcenter.com sells their own Pac-man Raku glaze. It has great copper
red flashes, great patinas. I've tried a few of their premade raku glazes and
I like them.
Good Luck
