Hi, Les.

Thanks for your input. Gibby's is famous for its
copper/gold shimmer, though. The silica
undoubtedly makes it more stable and also takes
away the shimmer. I had thought of adding silica
but didn't get around to it . . . then I met
Tenmoku Gold and fell in love . . . well you know
they say women's hearts are fickle. will get me in trouble--remember guys, I didn't
say I believed it--I just said "they" said it>

Incidentally, I tried refiring Tenmoku Gold to ^06
and ended up with a beautiful semi-matte rose
colored glaze. No shimmers, but very cool.

It certainly is a wonderful glaze. When I refired a piece (also to
^06), I got a gorgeous yellow. A big, bright yellow. =20

Thanks for the revision to Tenmoku Gold.
I have tried your revision with South African ingredients.
It was beautiful. A glossy brown with gold speckling and pooling where
thicker.
I refired it to cone 06
I turned a deep gold yellow.
