does the art train still exist?

updated thu 13 dec 01

I was digging around in some old things today and found my old art train
button pin. I helped do some demonstrations on the train back in 84, when
it stopped in Longview, Texas. I heard stories of its travels for several
years after that, but have heard nothing in recent years. I could not find
any websites for it either.

Anyone seen it lately??

The Art Train was in Peoria Heights, IL last summer.
One of my profs and a grad student did demos. I went
to see it and took my youngest daughter. What a
wonderful thing, this Art Train.

Artrain USA brings exceptional opportunities for learning and community
activities across the country via the nation's railroads. Since 1971,
Artrain USA has been a leader and pioneer in taking art and cultural
programming to communities throughout the United States. In fact, since its
inception, more than 2.76 million people in 600 communities across 44
