good ideas...

I also have used a halogen lamp to finish drying some bases to rush them
into the bisque fire...so far so good...no cracks...and I put the light
about 4" from pot bottom and keep rotating every 10 minutes bottom to
top...I know it was risky but better than microwave!!! Kidding...

I later figured out that if I had a pot I needed to rush in drying, I could
put it in the solar oven (without the mirror) and it's the warm/damp
combination that seems to work well for even drying.
I have also found that very small pieces that need a bit of a rush to make
it into a bisque load can be stacked on the trays of my food dryer. I used
to dry my tomatoes on screens in the sun, but a few cloudy days can really
screw things up!

I used an electric tray thing for drying herbs - Just don't ever put in
anything that the heat can't curve away from. A pot cracked 'cause I put it
in up-side-down & trapped the heat.
