I belive it started when a clayarter found that bag of gold (Albany
Slip).
I wrote in Matrix: Albany slip 100% And look at the limit tables The
Matrix limit tables tells me it has alumina at the maximum Silica too.
The way it is in my kiln It would hardly work at ^6. I need to lower
both alumina and silica
Now I try with Cushing limits for satin matte: Alumina and silica are
too high
Green and cooper say: it is fine.
Insight limits says: It will not work too much alumina and silica and
far too much MgO.
I go back to matrix limits:It means that I have to adjust it but first
I will go to http://www.digitalfire.com/material/m-010141.htm
And read about Albany slip. Follow the advices of Tony Hansen:
. If I would have the Albany slip and would not have a ceramic
software I would try it this way ;10 tests of 45 grams of Albany slip +
5 grams of ten different flux. Just remember there is already too much
magnesium and enough CaO
If it works the next time adjusting or line blending.
I think an add of 10% tin will soften the glaze.
On the other hand I would use it in my Desert Soil test: Albany 65
frit 10 bentonite 25 add water and waite antil it "bloats" very
very thick slurry apply heavily with your hand's palm on the greenware
better on white or buff stoneware

if you cannot open go through the link bellow.
I will try these tests with my local soil.
