Dear Folks on Clayart;

Just a few more sites I've enjoyed.

Beautiful ceramic horn from France (19th. Century)

Shipibo Pottery
http://www.ccimports.com/public/Shipibo.htm
Pictures and text about pottery made by Shipibo Indians from the
Amazon Jungle Of Peru.
The article claims there is still headhunting going on. Hmmm!
Anyway, the after-firing designs done on the bonfired pottery vessels
are great. Excellent forms.
This is part of the Peruvian imports site: http://www.ccimports.com/
online retail site (which I recently cited for pottery from Chulucana,
Peru.)

Studio Ceramics in Britain - Index
http://www.seegreen.com/bpotters/
List of British Potters, search function, map function etc.
Already a great resource - I found Morgan Hall's site in the Powys,
Wales list.

Elegant Porcelain Soperas
http://www.folkcuba.com/botanica_ht/bo_porsopera_hmpge1.html
These are Cuban made elegantly hand painted religious ceremonial style
soup tureens.
The home page of this site belongs to an organization called Folk
Cuba.
It has many pictures of Cuban-African religious and spiritual
materials, ceremonies, and practitioners.
Extremely colourful.
Folk Cuba is at:
http://www.folkcuba.com/

Also, I enjoyed visiting the glazes page on the Ron Roy / John
Hesselbreth web page for Their collborative work: "Mastering Cone 6
Glazes" at:
http://www.masteringglazes.com/
Photos of their glazes applied to Ron's stoneware and porcelain sake
jars.
http://www.masteringglazes.com/Pages/glazeframe.html

If someone who loves you doesn't know what to get you for Christmas /
Chanukka (SP?) or other gift-giving occasion, this book sounds like a
winner... (No, no kickback to me for mentioning Ron's and John's
book!)

Enjoy your surfing...

Helen
