For several years I used a glaze called Dry Ash and it inevitably did the
same as your glaze is doing. I had no clue what to do. One day I gave it a
spritz of water from a spray bottle that was usually used to keep pieces
damp. Not too much - didn't wet it down - just a spritz. It worked like a
charm. The glaze pieces would all just lie back down and stay there. They
always fired perfectly, too. Maybe I was just lucky, but it might be worth
a try.
